# Test mode

> Build and test your integration without calling anyone.

Add `"test": true` to `POST /v1/calls` or `POST /v1/batches`, and Telleo runs the whole flow **without dialling**:

* No phone rings and no line is used.
* No credits are used, and the [limits](/concepts/queue-and-limits) do not apply.
* The call completes at once: the response already has `status: "completed"` and a sample `outcome`.
* Your webhook receives `call.completed` for it, signed exactly like a real one.
* It appears in `GET /v1/calls` with `"test": true`.

```bash theme={null}
curl https://api.telleo.ai/v1/calls \
  -H "X-API-Key: $TELLEO_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"agent_id": "17ea33d2-…", "phone_number": "+919876543210", "contact": {"name": "Test"}, "test": true}'
```

Your validation still runs: a bad phone number, an unknown agent or an over-long variable fails exactly as it would for a real call. That makes test mode the right way to check your payloads.

<Note>
  The sample outcome contains placeholder answers, not your agent's questions, and an empty transcript. Use a real call to your own phone to see what your agent actually returns.
</Note>

## What test mode does not cover

* How your agent sounds and what it says. Call your own number.
* Calling hours, line limits and queue timing. Test calls skip the queue.
