Each API key can make 300 requests per minute. Beyond that, requests fail with 429 rate_limited and a Retry-After header with the seconds to wait.
This limit counts API requests, not calls. How many calls run at once is set by your plan’s lines (see Queue and limits).

Staying under it

  • Queue many calls with one POST /v1/batches (up to 1,000 rows) instead of 1,000 POST /v1/calls.
  • Use webhooks instead of polling GET /v1/calls/{id}.
  • When you must poll, poll a batch (GET /v1/batches/{id}) every 30–60 seconds, not each call.
